Questions teachers ask us

What kinds of answer sheets can ExamGrader evaluate?

Question papers with answers written in the space provided (QPA), MCQ papers marked by the student (QPM), free-response answers on a separate supplement (AFR), OMR sheets (AMO) and MCQ answers on a regular supplement (AMP). Handwritten, descriptive, mathematical-step, diagram-based and mixed papers are all supported, and you can combine formats with a marking scheme.

Do I need to upload a mark scheme?

No, but we recommend it. When you upload a marking scheme (MS), every answer is graded against it, which keeps grading consistent and accurate. If no marking scheme is provided, the AI's subject knowledge is used to evaluate the answers.

Can I grade a whole class at once?

Yes. Bulk evaluation lets you upload answer sheets for many students in one go. The question paper and mark scheme are read once and reused, so every student is graded against the identical paper, and you get class-level reports when the batch finishes.

How reliable are the grades?

We publish an Evaluation Benchmark & Reliability Report based on live production runs on real handwritten scripts. Results that need a human look — for example when the graded total differs from the paper total or an answer could not be evaluated — are automatically flagged “Needs review” so a teacher stays in control.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is token-based. The free package includes 50,000 tokens with no credit card required. Paid packages are one-time purchases with no expiration date — you pay only for the evaluations you run.

What do teachers and students get after an evaluation?
